In a multipartite extension of the scheme, the sensitivity of an N-particle interferometer is dependent on the information of the measurement result of the control particle. The scrambled interferometer data can be decoded by the measurement result of the control particle when \(\varphi =\pi /2\). Setting \(\varphi =0\) provides “which-way” information about the interferometer, making the scrambling of the acquired data irreversible. The angle φ can be modified by “delayed-choice” after the interferometer measurement has been realized
